Hello Kitty For MAC Product Pics!!!!!

Yes it's almost here!!! We've all heard the rumors that Mac was going to team up with Hello Kitty to bring out an amazing collection,..and the rumors are DEF TRUE!! Now I was initially worried about the packaging. They could either go lil girl cutesy or glam and they chose the right route!!! I'm so excited about this collection!!

Ok,...so who is Hello Kitty?? I honestly have no idea. I grew up watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman and G.I.Joe,...so I've never seen the show. I did a little research, though, and here's what I've found. The franchise started in 1974 by the Sanrio company in Tokyo. Without getting too into it,..Hello Kitty has been on tv, in video games and has many many diff products to purchase. Hello Kitty herself is just one of many characters in the series. Kids and women go crazy for this stuff, as I've discovered with some of my friends.

Now on to the goodies! The packaging is AMAZING!!! Not only is it age appriote, but their are 2 separate packaging categories. There's the Hello Kitty Colour Collection which is their regular collection, and there's also the Hello Kitty Kouture Collection which is their high end collection! Yes,...both are amazing! While the Kouture collection is more expensive, it also features different products and Swarovski crystals.

Ok so now it's time for a list of the goodies!!!

The Kouture collection consists of 2 shades of dazzleglass ($28) with a reusable silver chain pendant that has Hello Kitty outlined in white Swarovski crystals on black background with a pink crystal bow, and also 3 shades of sheer mystery powder ($90) packaged in a silver powder compact with Hello Kitty outlined in white Swarovski crystals with a pink crystal bow on a black background.

The Colour collection has quite a few more items, but with different packaging. There will be 6 shades of lipstick ($14), 6 shades of lipglass ($14), 2 tinted lip conditioners ($14.50), 2 eyeshadow palettes with 4 shades ($38), 2 pigments ($19.50), 2 reflects glitter ($17.50), 4 glitter liners ($16.50), 2 beauty powders ($22), 3 shades of nail polish ($11), a black mascara ($12), and false lashes ($12). Whew! Lots of goodies,...but that's not all!!!!

There will also be some more goodies!! There is a plush doll ($42), purse mirror ($22), and 3 brush collections ($49.50). These items are exclusive to online, MAC stores and Nordstroms. There will also be a mirrored key clip ($16) and a beaded bracelet ($34), which is only available online and at MAC stores. Lastly there will be a tote ($45) and a soft vanity kit ($55) available only online!

Yeah,..that's A LOT of goodies!!!!!

This collection will be available in the US on FEB 10th!!!!

Ok,...it's swatch time!!! A huge thanks to these 2 ladies for their pics I found of spektra.net!!

Cover Girl Exact Eyelights Mascara

Ok,...so I finally picked up the new Cover Girl Exact Eyelights mascara. I had read about this in the magazines at work and was really excited! Of course, it's a known thing that diff colors or even flecks will bring out diff colors, so the fact that Cover Girl used this in a mascara was amazing. All I have to say is it's about time! haha

Here's some info on the product. It comes in 4 different colors. For Brown eyes: Black Pearl, for Blue eyes: Black Sapphire, for Green eyes: Black Ruby and for Hazel Eyes: Black Gold. All of these come in either a waterproof or non-waterproof formula, although I haven't seen the waterproof ones everywhere the non-waterproof ones are sold. The mascaras are all "black", but have diff colored light reflecting metallics. These metallics are what reflects off your eyes to bring out the particular color. So for example, for green eyes, the black ruby has a slight ruby (redish) tint to it due to the ruby metallic flecks.

The wand itself is made of rubber, similar to their lash blast mascara. Compared to Cover Girl's Lash Blast, thought, their Eyelight wand is a little thinner and longer. I must say I like this wand much better. By being longer and thinner, you can really get those lashes in the inner and outer corner of the eye.

Ok so now it's time for my OPINION and review:

As far as bringing the color out , it DEF works! I was very impressed. Now my eyes are all three colors and will change mainly on my mood, but of course depending on what colors are near them. My fav of these colors is green, so I purchased the Black Ruby mascara. I decided to put that on one eye and my Urban Decay Big Fatty on the other eye. I immediately noticed a difference, but I wanted to further test it. So I hung out with my boyfriend who later on in the evening asked me why me eyes were 2 diff colors today! haha! Yes,...that was my proof! So I can DEFINITELY say that THIS MASCARA WORKS!

Now for the quality of the mascara. Ehhhhh,...not so impressed. I normally use Urban's Big Fatty and Cover Girl is no where close. I'm a big fan of a teddy bear brush, and CG's rubber wand doesn't really cut it. First off, this mascara doesn't lengthen or thicken. No big deal, as I don't care for mascara's that do that anyway. Also, it's kinda clumpy. Now I've def used mascara's that were worse, but this is just a little too clumpy. I'm used to being able to apply and be done with it. With this mascara, I find I have to apply and mess around with it a little to get the look I'm after. Also, you can't really reapply during the day. Since it's kinda clumpy, if you try to apply another coat later in the day after it's dry, it REALLY clumps! Eeek.

That being said,...even with the clumpyness I still really like this mascara and will continue to use. Pricing may very but at Ulta it was $7.99 usd. You can find this anywhere CG Cosmetics are sold. It comes in both a waterproof and non-waterproof formula. I have noticed that the waterproof ones aren't available everywhere yet,...so who knows about that.

Ok that's all. Have any question let me know!

Hey Everyone,..so here's a Holiday kit by Bare Minerals called Sweet Decadence. Now as we all know,...I'm a huge fan of color and intense pigment,..so I must admit, bare minerals isn't a brand I ever really buy. However,..this kit is pretty kewl. I have it mainly because I wanted to try to press mineralized pigments, which I haven't done before, so this kit works great for that!
Now if you're a fan of natural colors,...then Bare Minerals is perfect for just that. It's in a loose form, but the container does a good job of keeping all that loose pigment contained. The colors in this kit are so pretty too. There's a pretty highlight, 2 base colors and another color you can wet to make a liner. You can also wet all of the colors to intensify them.

The four colors included are: Dulce de Leche, Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Fondue and Tiramisu. Yes the names are amazing and yummy! A travel size eyeshadow brush is also included.

Here's a look at the colors dry. The one to the far left is Chocolate Fondue. Then the right side from the top down: Red Velvet Cake, Dulce de Leche and Tiramisu. Now of course, I forgot to take a pic of them wet,..err,...but trust me they're pretty. I'll do a follow up entry of a look and also the pressing!

Ok so where to buy?? Surprisingly I haven't seen this at Ulta or Sephora yet (at least the ones by me) But I did see them at Nordstroms. You can also find it at this link: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3005085?refsid=236375&refcat=0~2376781~6002216~2383009&SourceID=1&SlotID=1&origin=related . This kit will cost you $28, which in my opinion is a crazy deal!

Ok, so that's it,..hope you like and be sure to check it out!

Coming Dec 1st!! Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Face Powder

So I must say,...HOLY SHIT AM I EXCITED!!!! I talked with a Smashbox make-up artist and Smashbox is finally coming out with their Halo Hydrating Perfecting Face Powder. Now yes,..this has been listed on QVC for the past 2 years listed at up to $72 as a testing for this product,...but so many ppl loved it that it's finally coming to ULTA DECEMBER 1ST!!! I'm so excited!!!

I was able to play around with it and LOVED it!! Not sure what this is??,...let me tell you. Let's start with what you can see. You'll notice that the powder is pressed,...but what are all those holes in the center?? Well,..on top of the pressed powder is a metal piece that you twist that slightly shaves off a few pieces of the pressed powder,..thus making it a loose powder!!! But you have the control over it!! NO MESS,..NO FUSS,...JUST AMAZING!!! It also comes with a little kabuki brush. You can use this powder as either a foundation or a setting powder!
Now for the things you don't see! Of course,..it's Smashbox so it's Paraben free, oil free and talc free. It's also filled with Gogi Berry (very powerful antioxidant), Amino Acids and Peptides! This means that it also has anti aging qualities! Most people will see a diff in 6 hours,.but the best results will be after 1 month of use! Over 60% of fine lines and wrinkles gone!
Next are it's hydrating qualities. It's infused with encapsulated water which refreshes the skin and gives it that healthy "glow" without accentuating lines. It comes in Fair, Light, Medium and Dark. Yes I am excited,...Fair!!! Yay!!!! It's also only going to be around $50! Again,...I can't wait!!!
Here's the downside,..one of their foundations is going away.....

This is the foundation they're getting rid of. It's their Pro Matte Anti-Shine Powder. You can find it now in their Curtain Call section for a cheaper price,..so if you love it,...stock up.

So their you go!!!! YAY!!!! Check out their website soon for more info, http://www.smashbox.com/, nothing is listed now,..but it will be soon! And check out your local ULTA's on DEC 1st to get your goody!!

Amazing Holiday Kits From Smashbox

So the holidays are here and many brands have been coming out with their Holiday Collections. One of my favs this year is Smashbox's Rapture Holiday Collection. They have absolutely amazing sets for cheap prices!

These have been out for a few weeks now and I've been able to play around with them a little and have been truly happy with what I've seen. Of course Smashbox is known throughout the make-up community for having amazing pigmentation and long lasting power. They are also known for their foundations and of course THEIR PRIMERS! No need to worry about their ingredients either, they are paraben free, fragrance free, oil free and hypoallergenic as well as some of their products even helping with fine lines and wrinkles!

These kits can be found at Ulta and most likely at Sephora. You can also go on their website, http://www.smashbox.com/ and check out these and a few more holiday sets.

Ok so here is a set including 5 of their most popular lip gloss colors. The colors include Illume, Radiant, Candid, Ravishing, Lovely and Stunning. Illume and Lovely are DEF some of the most popular colors I've sold.

This is their eyeshadow collection, featuring 8 duo shadows and 2 brushes, #32 and #13. OMG! This needs to be apart of my life! This is such an amazing deal! And yes,...you can depot these into your MAC palette!

Here's their brush Collection. It features 5 of their brushes in travel size. It includes a Face Brush, Shadow Brush, Angled Blending Brush, Smudger Brush and a duo Contour and Liner Brush. They all come in an adorable pink bag! So cute!

Here's something simple and CHEAP! It may not be as fancy as the others, but if you're on a budget and you wanna seem like you spent more than you did,..this would be it! Only $19!!!!! It features a travel size of their Bionic Mascara, travel size lip gloss in Aura ( yes I absolutely LOVE this color!) and fusion soft lights in Dusk. Now how does Dusk work?? For those of you who don't know,...it can be used as eyeshadow,...blush,...or even a bronzer! Yes,...it's that amazing! Maybe I'll do a tutorial ;)

And lastly,..something that may be for you instead of someone else,...a set that includes their full size and travel size foundation primer. This only comes in their basic photo finish but the price is GREAT!!

MAC and Hello Kitty

Ok,...so we've all heard that Mac WILL BE collaborating with Hello Kitty for a collection this February 09. There is no info as of now on packaging or products (trust me I've looked). Due to the popularity of Hello Kitty, as told to me by a close friend, these will SELL OUT!!! SO START SAVING!!!
Now I for one have no idea what or who this Hello Kitty is as I grew up watching Ninja Turtles, Batman, and of course Mr. Wizard,...so sorry ladies, but I'm not that excited,....HOWEVER,...I'm assuming that with what I have seen of these Hello Kitty characters,...the colors will be AMAZING!! Not to mention everything that I like. Plus I'm a sucker for packagaing,.....
Which leads to another point,...the packaging. Hopefully,...MAC will understand that 5 year olds won't be purchasing these products. I've seen many a Hello Kitty product from my friend and the store in Horton Plaza. I've seen things for 2 year olds all the way up to us "adults". That being said, I for one hope that MAC will stick with the adult route. The last thing I want is to hold up a compact with an adorable little cat that only the screaming kids across the way will envy.
I found this pic while lookin for pics and I must say if MAC stuck to packaging similar to this,...I'd buy everything!

I also just recently (just a few secs ago) found this character, which I love the look of. So if it appears on any of the packaging I will DEF buy!!

When I find more info or pics I'll be sure to let you all know!!

I'm Back!!!! So It's Vaca Haul Time!!

Hey Everyone! I'm finally back from my vaca! It was a blast!! :) I'll be making an entry on what all happened and some pics a little later, but right now it's HAUL TIME!!!

So while I was out in Ohio and Pennsylvania, I of course had to shop! The #1 place I went to was Grove City Prime Outlet in Grove City, Pa. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend that you go there if you live in the area. It is HUGE!!!!! Honestly it's about the size of 8 average size malls. The CCO there was also completely stocked with so many items. They had about 10x the amount of MAC products that my outlet store here in San Diego has. CRAZY!!!! I wish I had brought more money! haha I stil can't believe I lived there for so long and when my friends all went there I was like "nah, I don't feel like it". Wow was I dumb, but then again I had no idea of the greatness. Also here's a plus if you didn't know. In Pennsylvania, there's no taxes on clothes or shoes,...yeah,..awesome!

Ok so now it's on to the goodies!!

Well here's a look at everything. Now it's time to get more detailed :)

So here's some nail polish thatI bought. The Black Star and Midnight Fost colors are from a brand called Petites. I purchased these at Walmart for $1.32 a piece. The Shocking Pink and In The Lime Light and both China Glaze brands that I bought at Sally's for about $2. They were on sale, so that's why they were so cheap. One of the top coats I also purchased at Sally's for about $5, and the other, which is an OPI top coat, I found in the clearance section at Big Lots for $3!!! Yeah that's crazy. I def recommend the OPI topcoat.

Here's so stuff I purchased online. I bought 50 pans and 2 glitters from www.starsmakeuphaven.com. Awesome website and cheap prices!! The glitters are Turquoise and Light Green, both from MAC. I also finally got my order from www.archetypecosmetics.com. These are AMAZING!!!!!!! I've def fallen in lov with this brand. I'll be doing a full review on them, so there will be swatches and that to come!

Here's just some random things I purchased. I got the purse from the Journey's outlet in Grove City for $25. It's super cute and although I don' really use purses ever, I'm gonna try anf force myself to use this one. haha I also purchased a applicator and jar from sally's,...nothin special there. I tried the Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara,....AWESOME!!!! Lastly, is the Turquoise Glitter liner from Hot Topic. This is such crap! it was $2 and there's no glitter in it, plus the pencil is stiff. I say pass on this.

Here's some brushes I got. The large one is the MAC 150 that I purchased at the CCO for $29.50. The 3 clear ones were $1.77 at Pat Catan's and the 3 black ones were about $2 from the same place. The purple one is a Lowe Cornell brush from Michaels's for around $3-$4.

Here are some NYX ahadows I bought from work when they were bogo. I must say I'm not that impressed, but I'm still tryin to make them work.

I also FINALLY got my comp. eyeshadows from Nix'ie. Such drama,..but that's for another day. I'm very excited about this brand and will be doing a full review after I buy some more products. If you're interested go to www.nixiecosmetics.com and type in sassafraxia during checkout,...you'll get 10% off your purchase :)

Ok,...here's all the good stuff from the CCO. Hello MAC!!! I'm in love with all these colors, except for the Astonish All Over Gloss. I may be swaping samples on makeupalley. Also, the Dark Soul pigment is safe for the eyes,..don't worry. There were only certain batches that weren't safe and this isn't one of them.

Ok so that's everything!!! If you want further reviews on anything special let me know!!!!

Stay Beautiful :)
